eMode was a pay per performance advertiser. Due to low click rates, the campaign was being squeezed out by competition and was only earning around $100 per day. I coined the quiz banner concept which resulted in a sustained click rate of over 10% for over a year. Two years later, the quiz banners were still sustaining record setting click rates and earning over $2000 in revenue per day. This success made this one of the most seen ads on the internet and played an important role in Monster.com's aquisition of eMode.
